The Fall Session of the 2025 Kuandu Arts Festival features various performances by the School of Theatre Arts, the School of Music and the School of Dance in a three-month showcase of TNUA’s creativity and vitality from October through the end of the year.
During the three-month period, the School of Film and New Media will also organize three major events: the Kuan-Du Film Festival, the Kuan Du Light Art Festival and the Kuandu International Animation Festival.
Starting from 2025, the annual Kuandu Arts Festival comes in an expanded format—the Spring Session and the Fall Session—letting the artistic atmosphere permeate the campus all year round.
TNUA President Prof. Hsi-Chuan Liu presided over a press conference held on September 22 to announce the imminent arrival of the annual festival. Various other school administrators were also present at the press meet,
Speaking at the press conference, Prof. Liu noted that the Kuandu Arts Festival is a stage for TNUA to present the educational achievements. In the future, the format of the festival will be changed: instead of offering performances in just a few months, it will become a diversified cross-domain event held throughout the year. Prof. Liu extended welcome to people from all walks of life to come to TNUA to enjoy the wonderful performances.
The School of Theatre Arts will stage three plays, including “Not a Breath of Life.” There will also be three graduation productions.
The School of Music will stage 11 concerts in a wide range of music styles from traditional, classical to cross-domain new media. One of the concerts will be jointly organized by the School of Music and the Taiwan Music Institute of the National Center for Traditional Arts in memory of former TNUA President Prof. Ma Shui-Long, who passed away 10 years ago.
The School of Dance will highlight cross-boundary cultural exchange in three performance series, including Indonesian traditional music and dance. There will also be an international symposium on the influence of Chinese martial art.
