The School of Dance has unveiled a project promoting cross-domain collaboration and international links with a series of activities. The project features a wide range of courses, lectures, workshops, and an international symposium to encourage cross-boundary creativity and dialogue.
The School of Dance has employed renowned performing artist Okorn-Kuo Jing Hong as visiting professor this semester, injecting new momentum into its cross-boundary exploration.

The indigenous cross-disciplinary course cluster will extend from the required freshman indigenous music and dance course to a series of lectures and workshops. Prominent creators will lead students in cross-disciplinary creative practices. Furthermore, at the end of the semester, approximately 40 faculty members and students from the School of Dance will journey to the fields of Taitung to participate in an indigenous hunting festival, exploring a comprehensive learning journey from the classroom to the cultural field.

In terms of international residencies and exchanges, the School of Dance is actively connecting with global resources, creating a platform for international dialogue. This semester, Prof. Jean Geoffroy from CNSMD Lyon will lead a cross-disciplinary workshop integrating sound and body, real-time movement capture, and co-creative experiments. Furthermore, Indian classical Sanskrit dance masters will work with the Department of Theatre Arts to let faculty members and students gain a deeper understanding of this UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage.

TNUA will once again participate in "Camping Asia," which brings together young Asian choreographers and students to create a cross-generational and cross-regional creative exchange platform. TNUA will interact with young choreographers and different schools from all over the world in November.

A forum on Javan music and dance will also take place this semester. The forum, co-created by a new generation of Indonesian dancers and musicians and TNUA’s faculty and students, will also showcase the cross-cultural collaboration through workshops and performances. Furthermore, the "Stray Birds Dance Platform," a masterclass and scholarship program developed through industry-academia collaboration, will promote performances and exchanges between TNUA, the Korea National University of Arts (K-ARTS), the University of Taipei City, and the National Taiwan University of Arts, further deepening the Asian dance education network.

Finally, with funding from the National Science and Technology Council, the "Martial Currents: Flowing Across Borders” symposium will be held at TNUA on December 20 and 21. It will bring together scholars, martial arts practitioners, and artists from both China and abroad.
