Afiqah Hanis Binti Hanifah, a Malaysian senior student of the Department of Theatrical Design and Technology, is spending her summer vacation back home. Earlier she shared her experience living in Taiwan and studying at TNUA with students of her alma mater, Foon Yew High School – Kulai.

Her return to Foon Yew was the first leg of a series of overseas enrolment activities arranged by the Office of International Affairs with the help of TNUA’s international students.

She told the students of her alma mater about the artistic atmosphere at TNUA and the diversity and creativity of its learning. She stressed the importance of using one’s imagination and creativity in putting into practice what one has learned in the classroom. Sometimes special expressions have to be employed to convey different emotions, concepts and interpretations, she said.

She also noted that through internships while studying at TNUA one can explore the possibilities of his or her future career and learn more about the job market.

Her talk received enthusiastic responses from the audience and let the Foon Yew students understand what options they may have studying in Taiwan in their pursuit of an artistic career.

Foon Yew High School – Kulai is located in Bandar Putra Kulai, Johor, Malaysia. It is a Chinese independent school established in 2005 with funding from the Chinese community in Malaysia.
