A delegation from Thailand’s Srinakharinwirot University, headed by its President Somchai Santiwatanakul and Vice President Prit Supasetsiri, visited TNUA on March 29.

The delegation, comprising of more than 30 members from the sister school, received a warm welcome from TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang and other administrators. Both sides talked about future collaboration between the two universities.

 

Prof. Chen said he expects more cross-disciplinary exchange activities between the two universities.

President Somchai Santiwatanakul said his side has taken part in exchange activities with TNUA’s Department of Traditional Music for several times, and hopes to see more interactions and collaborations in different fields between the two universities in the future.

The Office of International Affairs also arranged a tour of some of the facilities of TNUA for the visitors, including the Center for Art and Technology, the Concert Hall, and KDMoFA.

 

Srinakharinwirot University, which became TNUA’s sister school in 2015, has taken part in art festivals in Taiwan, including the Kuandu Arts Festival. Its professors have given master classes at TNUA, whose students and teachers from the Department of Traditional Music have also taken part in exchange activities at Srinakharinwirot University.

In 2017, Vice President Prit Supasetsiri led a delegation of more than 60 members from various departments of Srinakharinwirot University to visit TNUA. They took part in exchange activities with TNUA’s Department of Fine Arts and Department of Dance.
