TNUA and the National Museum of Natural Science (NMNS) have signed an MoU for academic exchange and collaboration.
The MoU was signed on March 27 by TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang and NMNS Director Chuan-Chin Chiao at a ceremony. Both sides seek to collaborate in multiple aspects, including research, teaching and exhibitions that can promote the preservation of cultural and natural heritages, and cultural and biological diversity.
Projects covered by the MoU will include classes, internships, museum collections, exhibitions, performances, educational promotions, publications, field studies, lectures, seminars and professional development courses.
TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang noted that for TNUA, the collaboration with NMNS has been very meaningful. He said he hopes both sides can work even more on cross-disciplinary projects.
Dr. Chiao said he hopes the MoU can give more students and teachers of arts the opportunities to work with NMNS.
Prof. Sung-Shan Wang, as the first professor jointly employed by TNUA and NMNS to teach at the Graduate Institute of Museum Studies, said times have changed, and students must also learn how to put their learning into practice.
