The 2021 Kuandu Light Art Festival will be held from December 3 to 31 at TNUA’s on-campus restaurant, DaVinci’s Kitchen. This year, the festival, organized by the Department of New Media Art, carries the theme “EAT DaVinci,” aiming to interrogate the core and expressions of new media art through food and drink and immersive projection activities.

The 2021 edition of the festival will be held inside the restaurant, exploring the components of sound, image, and taste, and how they can be linked to form a new experience that transcends everyday life.

“EAT DaVinci” is an exhibition of new media art creations into the dining space, using immersive images to echo the dishes, allowing the taste buds to have different sensations as the images change, gradually stacking the layers of the meal through images, sounds and interactions. “EAT” is an acronym of three different English adjectives: “experimental, artificial, and technical,” which describe the creators’ experimental spirit in creating technological artworks in new media. The exhibition invites the audience to enter the “DaVinci artificial laboratory” and taste the feast for the senses.
