Graduates from the School of Dance’s seven-year bachelor’s degree program presented their graduation performances from June 5 to 8.

At the behest of Yuan-Li Wang, a lecturer at the School of Dance who was in charge of the graduation production, four dances were created specifically for the students– each by a different choreographer.

One of the dances, “The Cherished,” was choreographed by Prof. Chiang Chiou-O. It consisted of several sequences, including solo, duet and trio dances.

The dance choreographed by Prof. Ming-Yuan Tsai consisted of Peking Opera elements to highlight beauty through a play between “strength” and “softness” using rice straws as props.

“Brushstroke,” jointly created by Tsai His-Hung and students, allowed each of the dancers to exhibit their unique expressions. Another dance was choreographed by Wu Chien-wei featured solo, duet, trio and group dances.

The performances concluded with all dancers dancing passionately to the tune of Aaron Kwok’s song, “I Love You Forever.”
