The SAC graduate program of the School of Culture Resources on March 20 arranged a Taiwanese Opera workshop where Chen Min-ling and others from the Sin Shie Sing Troupe demonstrated their art and talked about the history of Taiwanese Opera.
During the workshop, Chen selected a scene from a famous Taiwanese Opera work and taught the participants how to sing and act. The participants were dressed up in full stage costumes and make up, including two international students – Luiz Guilherme Moura Pinto from Brazil and Mary Grace Castillo Compuesto from the Philippines – who took up the leading roles of the scene.
