TNUA’s Music and Image Trans-disciplinary (MIT) Program signed with NYU Steinhardt’s Music Technology Program an agreement for collaboration on March 17, marking a major milestone in Taiwan’s partnership with a world-class university for academic exchange and education in recording and music technology.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Paul Geluso, Director of the Music Technology Program, and Prof. Tzu-Ying Lin, Chairperson of the MIT Program, at a ceremony at TNUA.

The collaboration will broaden the education opportunities for students from both sides, enhance academic research, and strength ties between the academic and industry institutions.

Prof. Geluso was attending a week-long academic exchange activity organized by Shao-Ting Su, Coordinator of Recording Engineering & Production Concentration of the MIT Program. Prof. Geluso conducted workshops and gave lectures during the week. The activity was open to not only MIT students, but also to professionals from related sectors in Taiwan.

Prof. Geluso also took a group photo with the students who would become the first-ever graduates of the MIT Program this summer.

Prof. Geluso also met with TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang during his stay. He said he was impressed by TNUA’s academic achievements, expressing the intention of further tightening bilateral collaboration in the future.
