Prof. Maurice Durozier from Le Théâtre du Soleil visited TNUA for the fifth time this summer, conducting a three-week acting workshop The Graduate Institute of Theatre Performance and Playwriting.
Prof. Durozier led 11 students through the workshop that started on July 22 and ended on August 9.
Prof. Durozier was a visiting professor at TNUA’s Department of Theatre Arts under a Ministry of Education program from May 2015 to November 2017, during which he gave acting workshops in 2015 and 2017. And again in 2019 and 2022, he conducted summer acting workshops at TNUA.
During this year’s workshop, Prof. Durozier showed the students how improvisation could unleash imagination and emotions. They also read and analyzed Russian playwright Anton Chekov’s play “Uncle Vanya.”
