A group of TNUA teachers and students, led by Dr. Lee Ching-Huei and Dr. Jiang-I Liang from the Department of Traditional Music, set off for Bali on June 24 to take part in the 2024 Bali Arts Festival.

The group, which includes 13 students from the Department of Traditional of Music, the MIT program, and the Department of Animation, was in Bali for three weeks, during which they were engaged in cross-cultural collaboration with the Sanggar Seni Dharma Shanti ensemble from the Lungsiakan community.

The collaboration, under the guidance of I Made Sucipta, created a cross-cultural performance with newly composed music that was presented at the Bali Arts Festival on July 9.

The musical pieces included works composed by TNUA alumnus Hin-Iat Liu for gamelan angklung.

During their stay in Bali, the TNUA teachers and students got to visit Klungkung Regency, and many other places of the island.
