On April 22, guests of honor from TNUA’s partnership school, École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Lyon (ENSBA Lyon) – the post-graduate art program director Oulimata Gueye and the independent curator Mou Lu, along with five artists, Tin Ayala, Parisa Babaei, Emma Ben Aziza, Maéva Conderolle, and Simon Gabourg – visited the Department of Fine Arts.
Dean of the School of Fine Arts Prof. Liu Hsi-Chuan, and the director of the Office of International Affairs Lin Yatin extended a welcome to the visitors. Both sides had a brief introduction to each other and learned more about the other's research areas in various fields.
The guests then visited Prof. Su's class, "Ready-Made: Critique and Practice II (studio)." Artists from both schools made presentations about their research fields and topics to let everyone know more about their artwork and their research backgrounds.
After the exchange in the class, the guests visited the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts. The director of the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Huang Chien-Hung, introduced some information about the museum and had a discussion about the research fields with Gueye and the ENSBA Lyon artists. They also discussed potential collaboration regarding exhibitions from both sides in the future.
TNUA looks forward to more exchange and collaboration between TNUA and ENSBA Lyon in the near future.
