TNUA will provide advice for optimization of TVGH’s space and design, and assistance in organizing cultural and artistic activities, while TVGH will offer health consultancy services for TNUA’s teachers, staff and students.
TNUA has over the years run projects linking with specific departments of many hospitals for conducting research, organizing exhibitions, staging performances, and arranging learning services. But the collaboration with TVGH marks the first time that TNUA has formally struck a school-level collaboration deal with a medical center.
The pact was signed by TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang and TVGH Superintendent Chen Wei-Ming at a ceremony at the hospital on April 2 that was also attended by other officials from both sides.
TVGH Superintendent Chen Wei-Ming noted that the pact was finally signed after planning for more than a year. He expressed the hope that the partnership with TNUA will help create a better and warmer medical environment. He also said he believes the combination of medical services, art and cultural activities will definitely benefit people of the country.
Prof. Chen pointed out that TVGH has always been a pioneer in advancing medical services of the country. He noted that TVGH is the only Taiwanese hospital in this year’s list of the world’s best 250 hospitals jointly ranked by Newsweek and Statista. Prof. Chen congratulated TVGH on the achievement, and said he felt honored to be able to have a formal partnership between TNUA and the hospital.
