TNUA has signed an MoU with the University of Taipei (UT), National Ilan University (NIU) and National Chi Nan University (NCNU) to form a cross-school platform to enhance their overall competitiveness by sharing educational resources among them.
The MoU was signed at a ceremony by TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang,
UT President Prof. Chiu Yin Hao, NIU President Dr. Poching Johnny Wu, and NCNU President Dr. Dong-sing Wuu.
Under the MoU, the universities aim to offer “Shared Campus of Taiwan” (SCoT) cross-school microcredit courses. A cross-school collaboration platform will be set up for talent and tech exchange, including joint employments of teaching staff, joint research and joint arrangements of events. The four schools will also share resources, such as research and library facilities. They will also jointly work on projects they agree upon.
Prof. Chen noted that since 2015, TNUA has been conducting cross-school collaboration projects with the University of Zurich, the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University and the City University of Hong Kong, where in 14 intensive weeks students and teachers from different schools and countries can take part in cross-border learning programs at the collaborating universities.
In February 2023, the Shared Campus program held its first Strategy Board Meeting at TNUA. Apart from TNUA, other partners in Shared Campus include Zurich University of the Arts, University of the Arts London, Tokyo University of the Arts, LASALLE College of the Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University and City University of Hong Kong School of Creative Media.
