The Sports Center of the Academic Affairs Office held the “Swimming Pool Aquatics Meeting and Opening Ceremony” on October 17, attracting nearly 100 students from various departments to sign up for the competition.
In order to celebrate the re-opening of the swimming pool after more than three years, the organizer invited Chen Weiwei, an alumnus of the Department of Music who won 2 gold and 2 silver medals in swimming at two junior college sports games, to lead the performance of the 100-meter (performance 4) tour, which is of special significance. In addition, TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang also presented the 40th anniversary school ring in person, thanking her for winning glory for the school many times.
President Chen said that the renovation work of the pool bottom, building structure and roof that had started in February 2019 was completed this summer. At the same time, there are plans for brand-new bathrooms and lockers, and will be implemented in this semester. He thanked the relevant units including the Academic Affairs Office, the General Affairs Office and others for their hard work during this period.
