Originally from Japan, Shoma Urakawa graduated from the Department of Music at the Tapei National University of Art with a major in percussion. In this video, he mentioned that academic freedom, mutual respect, and friendly exchanges between teachers and students at TNUA allowed him to focus on his research on percussion.
