- Teaching guidelines in response to the epidemic
Mainly physical classes; remote teaching when necessary.
The following guidelines must be followed in physical classes:
- Roll calls must be taken and all persons must register their presence. Each student must be assigned a specific desk in the classroom, and where such seating arrangements are not possible, the teacher will have to take pictures of the seating situation for record.
- All teachers and students must wear face masks throughout the class and sanitize their hands. No eating or drinking is allowed in class.
- The classroom must be well-ventilated and regularly disinfected. Classroom equipment must be sanitized thoroughly.
Anti-epidemic guidelines for performing art classes:
- Except for students playing wind instruments, others must wear face masks throughout the class. Practice time should be adjusted to avoid long practice sessions that could result in discomfort for mask-wearing students. (Students with cardiovascular conditions or respiratory allergies are advised to avoid these classes).
- Face masks can be removed during wind instrument practices. When the practicing stops, the students must put the masks back on.
- Each person uses his or her own tools or instruments (musical instruments, costumes, etc). Wind instruments must not be shared. Microphones used in theatre sessions must not be shared.
Anti-epidemic guidelines for physical education classes:
- Masks must be worn throughout the class. Avoid sharing the equipment among students. If the equipment has to be shared, it has to be thoroughly disinfected before passing onto the next student.
- Records of presence must be kept for all indoor and outdoor facilities, and masks must be worn throughout the stay there. Disinfection of the environment and equipment has to be strengthened.
The Office of Academic Affairs will follow the instructions announced by the Central Epidemic Command Center and the Ministry of Education, and will make rolling adjustments and announce them in the Epidemic Prevention Zone of the University.
- Students taking leave of absence
- Students can take a vaccination leave of absence for up to three days (including the day of receiving the vaccines) if they do not feel well after the vaccination. Such leaves of absence will not go into the regular record of attendance.
- If the vaccination leave comes during the mid-term or final exam periods, students must notify their teachers and submit applications specifically for leaves of absence during exam periods. If their applications are approved, their teachers can arrange make-up exams for the absent students.
