A two-day symposium “Arts as New Social Dynamics in the Post-Pandemic Age” took place at TNUA in early December.

The symposium, held on December 2 and 3, was organized by the School of Cultural Resources. There were lectures and paper presentations at the two-day event.

TNUA President Prof, Chen Kai-Huang, Vice President Prof. Li Jia-Yi and many other TNUA administrators and teachers attended the event.

The first talk was given by former TNUA President Prof. Chiu Kun-Liang, who traced the history of TNUA, from its inception to the relocation to the present campus in Kuandu over the past three decades. He noted that it has demonstrated TNUA’s mission in arts education.

The second talk, “Creative Activity as a Human Right,” was delivered online by Prof. James Haywood Rolling Jr., president of the National Art Education Association (NAEA). He stressed that creativity is an undeniable human right.

TNUA graduate students also presented 24 academic papers during the symposium, which was part of the activities marking the 30th anniversary of TNUA.
