Taipei Music Center’s Chairperson Kay Huang and CEO Lu Sheng-fei received a warm welcome on November 13 as they visited TNUA, meeting with TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang to discuss exchange opportunities between the two sides.

The guests of honor also shared their visions of future pop music trends during a talk to students from the Music and Image Trans-Disciplinary Program (MIT).

In October 2020, TNUA and the Taipei Music Center signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation. In order to accelerate the cooperation, Prof. Chen led a TNUA delegation to visit the Taipei Music Center in April 2021. They got to see various facilities of the center and discussed the outline of future cooperation.

Prof. Chen extended a warm welcome to Ms. Huang and Mr. Lu for their return visit. TNUA Vice President Prof. Chia-Yi Lee, Chief Secretary Chung Yung-Feng, and Dr. Jennie Lin, Dean of Research and Development, were also present to meet with the guests.

The Taipei Music Center chairperson noted that both sides are actively developing ideas for future cooperation. She said she was glad to have opportunity to visit such a beautiful campus and interact with TNUA teachers and students.

TNUA Vice President Prof. Lee, who also heads the MIT program, TNUA and the Taipei Music Center will make joint efforts to train music talent and promote international exchanges in exhibitions and performances. They will work together to promote art creativity and education.

Future cooperation will involve TNUA’s School of Music, School of Film and New Media, and the MIT program.
