An exhibition of Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara’s work began at TNUA’s Kuadu Museum of Fine Arts on March 12, 2021.
The exhibition, scheduled to run until Jun 20, 2021, features 53 pieces of artwork that Mr. Nara created between 1984 and 2021.
One of the works, “Hazy Humid Day,” is a special piece that Mr. Nara created to express his deep gratitude to Taiwan.
A press event was held on March 11 to announce the upcoming opening of the exhibition. Though Mr. Nara could attend the event in person, he gave his regards in a video message.
President Tsai Ing-wen, who heads the General Association of Chinese Culture – the co-organizer of the exhibition – remarked in her speech that Mr. Nara has many followers in Taiwan.
She said it takes on special significance that the exhibition is held at such a beautiful campus.
