Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance Principal Prof. Anthony Bowne visited TNUA on March 22.
Prof. Browne met with TNUA President Prof. Yang Chyi Wen, as well as some other administrators including: Prof. Chang Chung-Shiuan, vice president; Prof. Wang Yunyu, dean of the School of Dance; Prof. Zhang Xiao-Xiong, chairman of the Department of Dance; and Prof. Chen Ya-Ping, chairman of the Graduate Institute of Dance.
Both sides discussed matters concerning future collaboration and exchange, and they proposed signing a memorandum of understanding for cooperation.
Prof. Yang extended a warm welcome to Prof. Browne and another guest from Trinity Laban. Prof. Yang also extended an invitation to Prof. Browne to visit again next summer to attend World Stage Design 2017, jointly organized by TNUA and the Taiwan Association of Theatre Technology (TATT).
Prof. Browne noted that he lasted visited TNUA in October 2007 as head of Laban Contemporary Dance, United Kingdom to take in the “Multiple & Networking: World Forum for Higher Professional Art Education.”
Prof. Browne pointed out that the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance was established in 2005 by merging the Trinity College of Music and Laban. Its campus is located in London, and it has about 1,400 students in various programs, including master’s and doctoral degree programs.
Prof. Browne was also shown around the TNUA campus, and he was impressed by its facilities.
