A six-member team from TNUA’s School of Dance was in Australia in February for a two-week study at the Mirramu Creative Arts Center.
Under the guidance of Prof. Elizabeth Dalman, the founder of the center, the TNUA team was shown a brand new experience of creativity in the wild away from the city. They also worked with center’s instructors and created nine dances that they performed at the end of their exchange visit.
The School of Dance has been in close collaboration with Prof. Dalman since 2006. Prof. Dalman has come to Taiwan frequently to conduct lectures and workshops at TNUA. Students and teachers from the School of Dance have also traveled to Prof. Dalman’s center for short-term learning and creative work during summer and winter breaks.
The six-member team was led by Prof. Hsiao-Mei Ho. Apart from their training under Prof. Dalman, the team also visited the QL2 Center for Youth Dance in Canberra.
