Three TNUA students who have studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (AVU) have revealed their experiences of studying in the Czech Republic school.
Fan Si-chi, Teng Hsin-jung and Lin Hsin-mei from the School of Fine Arts, said the biggest difference between TNUA and AVU is that students here choose their courses simply through the computer system, but at the AVU, it is the professors who pick their students. AVU students must go to the professor of a course and ask for permission before they can select it.
Teng said that at AVU, professor will devote a lot of time to discussions every time a student presents his or her work. She added that for every course there is a tutor to help with technical issues, as well as holding weekly tutorials with students.
The annual graduation exhibition is not just a simple school event. It will be held at a national gallery, inviting students, families, friends and many others to witness the graduates’ achievements, Fan said.
