Dr. Ramón Douglas Rivas, secretary of culture of the President's Office, El Salvador, visited TNUA on May 6.

Dr. Rivas, accompanied by his wife, received a warm welcome by TNUA President Prof. Yang Chyi Wen.

Prof. Yang and Dr. Rivas talked about the possibilities of exchange between the two sides during their meeting.

Prof. Yang noted that TNUA has been very active in participating in and organizing many international art activities.

TNUA has also achieved impressive results in expanding its network for international cooperation and exchange, Prof. Yang said.

He expressed the hope that TNUA can establish partnerships with various art and academic institutions of El Salvador, organizing classes during the summer and winter breaks, exchange programs for teachers and students, and other activities. He expects to foster a friendship between the two countries founded on art.

Dr. Rivas noted that the development of Taiwan's films has been very impressive, with many of its directors shining on the international stage. He said Taiwan's experience in training its film professionals is something that El Salvador can learn from.

He said there are also film schools in his country, and hopes they can have the opportunities to conduct exchanges with TNUA.

Dr. Rivas also showed interests in TNUA's programs for animation art, music, and cultural resources studies.

Prof. Hung-Hui Lu, chief director of TNUA's International Exchange Center, noted that several students from El Salvador have studied in the university's International Master of the Arts Program in Cultural and Creative Industries (IMCCI).
