TNUA President Prof. Ju elected to another
term
TNUA President Prof. Ju, Tzong-Ching has
been reelected to another term that lasts till July 31, 2013.Prof. Ju won more than three fourths of
the votes to be reelected during a school affairs meeting on September 30.He was first elected to the TNUA
presidency on August 1, 2006, which set him off on a mission to turn TNUA into
a first-rate international university. He has introduced various reforms,
including the teacher evaluation system, curriculum integration, facility
improvements, and active international exchange programs.
Prof. Ju was among those who founded TNUA.
He has been on its faculty since 1983 teaching at the Departments of Music, the
Department of Dance, and the Graduate Institute of Arts Administration and
Management. He has served as chairman of the Department of Music and the
Graduate Institute of Music. He has also headed the Center for Research and
Development, as well as the Performing Arts Center.He has been in charge
of the
TNUA in charge of opening, closing ceremonies for World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung
TNUA has teamed up with Germany-based Uniplan Group for the task of planning and implementing the opening and closing ceremonies of the World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung.TNUA President Prof. Ju, Tzong-Ching has given top priority for the project, progress of which will be monitored on a weekly basis. A team of artists and experts from TNUA, as well as Uniplan, has been assembled for the work, with Prof. Ju as its chief director.
The World Games will take place from July 16 to 26, 2009 in the southern Taiwanese port city of Kaohsiung. The ceremonies, to be taking place at a 40,000-seat stadium, will be broadcast live worldwide to an audience of millions of people.
