TNUA and seven other major universities of Taiwan
have signed a letter of intent (LOI) to form a
publishing alliance for the promotion of traditional
Chinese publications.
TNUA and the alliance members signed the LOI
during the 2014 Taipei International Book Exhibition
(TIBE) in February, where they exhibited more than
800 book titles and organized 22 forums.
The other members of the alliance are: National
Taiwan University, National Chengchi University,
National Tsing Hua University, National Chiao Tung
University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National
Central University and National Taiwan Normal
University

TNUA President Prof. Yang Chyi Wen noted at the
LOI signing ceremony that TNUA runs a bookstore
of its own and has been publishing books in various
arts-related elds, such as music, dance and theatre
arts.
TNUA has also won a lot of plaudits for its active
participation in international book fairs, Prof. Yang
said, adding that he believes the new publishing
alliance will let locally-published books gain wider
recognition internationally
During TIBE this year, TNUA organized several
forums on arts-related subjects featuring speakers
such as Prof. Yang and his predecessor, Prof. Ju,
Tzong-Ching, who is now chairman of the National
Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center.
TNUA also showcased a number of its publications
on music, dance, theatre arts, and lm.
