TNUA has become a winner in the college and university category of the 1st Art Education Contribution Award organized by the Ministry of Education.
TNUA President Prof. Yang Chyi Wen accepted the award on behalf of the school at a ceremony on December 15. Other TNUA administrators also attended the ceremony.
TNUA was among 27 schools and organizations that were awarded for their devotion to art education. Another 13 individuals were also honored.
A total of 161 individuals, schools and organizations were nominated for the awards. A jury determined the winners after making on-site evaluations.
Prof. Yang noted that TNUA has been striving for excellence in art education, having produced many excellent artists and professionals over the years.
In recent years, it has also been eager to extend art as services to all corners of society, actively taking up the responsibility required of universities to promote the development of art educations.
He thanked the Ministry of Education and the jury for the honor, and in order to support sustainable developments of art in Taiwan, TNUA will continue to play an active role in promoting art education and in taking part in international activities to increase Taiwan's visibility and influence in the global scene.
TNUA is a role model in art education. It is the only art university that has been named by the Ministry of Education as a school of excellence for 10 years in a row since 2005.
