A total of 400 junior and senior high school students, teachers, and parents from all over Taiwan enjoyed a trip to TNUA on “Knock Knock” Open Day on October 31.
With the help of the Office of Academic Affairs, the faculty and students from various departments, the visitors participated in a wide range of activities, getting a better understanding of TNUA.
In his opening remarks, TNUA President Prof. Hsi-Chuan Liu welcomed the visitors. He noted that TNUA is a dedicated arts institution marking its 43rd anniversary this year. Students interested in applying to TNUA can expect to enjoy the best resources and environment when they come to a school with such maturity and stability.
Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. Ta-Wei Lin introduced the general situation of TNUA to the guests, highlighting the features of its important facilities, such as the Concert Hall, the Dance Theatre, the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts (KdMoFA), and the Center for Art and Technology. Prof. Lin also encouraged students aspiring to apply to TNUA to do thorough research on their preferred departments and, regardless of the application process or entrance exam, to showcase their unique strengths during the interview to stand out from the competition.
At the opening ceremony at the Arts Forum, the organizers also prepared a campus map photo opportunity and souvenirs for the participating students, teachers and parents. The Focus Dance Company from the Department of Dance also performed a lion dance to kick off the event.
This event included meticulously arranged admission information sessions and course experiences from various departments. Under the careful guidance of teachers, teaching assistants, and students, the participants visited the facilities and gained a deeper understanding of the teaching and learning environments of different art degree programs.
