Performers from the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA), a TNUA sister school, were in Taiwan from August 12-17, staging several classic Peking Opera works at the National Theater in Taipei.
More than 80 teachers and students were in the NACTA group led by the school’s Vice President Chen Juan.
TNUA administrators including Dean of the School of Theatre Prof. Samuel Wang, Chair of the Department of Theatre Arts Prof. Yu-Ching Huang, and Dean of International Affairs Prof. Yatin Lin, as well as Prof. Ya-Hsiang Hsu, attended one of the performances on August 15. Following the performance, both sides exchanged an extended agreement to a cooperation MoU between the two schools.
TNUA and NACTA, the highest educational institution for Chinese theatre in China, have been working together in various artistic and academic exchanges since 2015.
