TNUA signed an international art exchange MoU with the Tokyo University of the Arts (Tokyo Geidai) and the Ehime Prefecture in Japan on May 30.

TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang and Dean of International Affairs Prof. Yatin Lin were at Tokyo Geidai for the signing of the MoU, along with Tokyo Geidai President Katsuhiko Hibino and Ehime Governor Tokihiro Nakamura.

Prof. Chen said the partnership between TNUA and Tokyo Geidai has enabled various exchange programs. He said he expects the freshly signed trilateral MoU to rejuvenate creativity in Ehime through arts, performances, and cultural exchange activities.

The Ehime Prefecture has teamed up with Tokyo Geidai to launch “Art Venture Ehime Fes 2025,” with an open call running until June 22.

This art festival aims to revitalize local communities by integrating art with regional culture and encouraging citizen participation. The festival will run from October 18 to November 3, 2025.

Apart from signing the MoU, the three sides held a discussion on May 31 about TNUA’s “Shared Campus” project to be held in Ehime at the end of August: “Summer School: Learning from the Earth ⁄ Soil — Sustainable Development Goals × Arts.”
