The students of Art and Craft Curation exhibited their final projects on 6/1. Split into three groups, they offered their own takes on the transnational societal nature and aesthetics of indigo dye.

The first group linked together with the development of indigo dye in different countries. Featuring a hands-on dye station, their immersive work allowed visitors to consider their own connection to indigo dye. The second group employed the concept of ‘bio-migration’ to discuss the mutual linkages between humans, objects, and the environment, as well as the globalization of the indigo dye industry.

The last group questioned the integration of indigo dye into capitalism through an installation artwork featuring a large pile of coins. Witnessed by special guests Wen-Chun Tang, Manray Hsu, and President Kai-Huang Chen himself, this was an afternoon to behold.
