A delegation from China's well-known Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) visited TNUA last month. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation was signed between the two sides, with which CCOM became the 53rd sister school of TNUA.

The delegation, headed by CCOM President Prof. Wang Cizhao and composed of teachers and students from the Beijing-based school, also gave a concert during their visit. The concert featured both Chinese and Western music and won much applause from the audience.

TNUA President Prof. Ju, Tzong-Ching noted that the two schools have a long friendship. He recalled that he led several TNUA administrators and the school's orchestra to a visit to CCOM in June 2010, during which they also held a concert.

Prof.  Liu, Hwei-Jin, dean of the School of Music, will lead the TNUA Orchestra to another visit to CCOM in November this year, marking a further step to form closer ties between the two schools, Prof. Ju said while receiving the CCOM visitors.

Prof. Wang noted that his friendship with TNUA started when Prof. Ma Shui-Long was its president. He said he is looking forward to closer ties between the two schools.

Prof. Ju and Prof. Wang signed the MOU on behalf of their own schools. The signing of the MOU was witnessed by Prof. Liu; Prof. Su, Shien-Ta,  chairperson of the Department of Music; Prof.  Lu, Hung-Hui, chief director of the International Exchange Center; Secretary General Mey-Juane Kuo; as well as administrators from CCOM.
