The School of Music has unveiled a new concert hall, the M2401, providing its students and teachers with yet another wonderful facility for teaching and performing purposes.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on December 17, 2012 to mark the completion of the new concert hall. The ceremony was presided over by TNUA President Prof. Ju, Tzong-Ching; Prof. Liu, Hwei-Jin, dean of the School of Music; Prof. Su, Shien-Ta, chairperson of the Department of Music; and Prof. Lee, Ching-Huei , chairperson of the Department of Traditional Music.

Prof. Ju noted at the ceremony that the School of Music has been eager to reinvent its facilities to give its teachers and students better venues for learning, teaching and performing.

He thanks all the teachers and students for their contribution to creating the new hall.

Prof. Liu noted that the new concert hall was converted from existing facilities. The small hall can house an audience of 100, giving students and teachers of the School of Music a new choice for holding their concerts.
The ceremony featured a lion dance accompanied by traditional Beiguan music. There was also a pipa performance by a group of students led by Prof. Wang, Hsi-Jong from the Department of Traditional Music.

There were also other music performances by Prof. Su, Shien-Ta, Prof. Tsai, Chia-Hui, Prof. Mewas Lin, Prof. Fang, Chiang-Yi, and Prof. Chen, Yen-How.
